My experience with Dr. Manish Gopal has been extremely positive. He is sharp, knowledgeable, patient, and takes the time to listen—answering every question without ever making you feel rushed. His diagnoses are quick and accurate, and he clearly explains each step, whether it’s routine care, surgical options, or modern treatments. The staff also deserves praise. From my first call, they were polite, professional, and very helpful, which immediately gave me the confidence to schedule with Dr. Gopal instead of another recommendation I had received. It’s rare to find such a thorough surgeon who combines advanced expertise with a genuinely caring approach, supported by an excellent team. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Manish Gopal and highly recommend him for outstanding medical care. #Urogynecologist

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gopal. I came to him because I was suffering from persistent UTIs and had seen numerous specialists and an infectious disease doctor for antibiotic treatment. Dr. Gopal conducted tests that other doctors hadn't considered, and he also performed surgery on me. He explained in detail how the condition would affect me and what the best treatment options were. I am very grateful for his care and for his friendly staff. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Gopal is wonderful! He definitely knows what he is doing, and I have felt so much better after my surgery 2 years ago in 2023. I recommend him all the time to other women that I know, that experience the same issues, I had. Women need to have a doctor who specializes in female anatomy to get the proper treatment. I had been to other urologists in the past and they had no idea how to treat me. Dr. Gopal understood what I was going through! Don’t hesitate to consult with him. It is life changing results!

3 years ago (when I was only 36 years old) I had a UTI. I was treated for it with antibiotics, but then 2 weeks later the pelvic/urethral/bladder pain and urgency came back. I was also getting pain in my lower back that felt like some kind of infection. I got tested several times, but the tests kept coming back negative every time. I had no bacteria to treat! I went to countless doctors who tested me for everything possible: ureaplasma, all STIs, kidney stones, cystitis (my cystoscopy didn't show any inflammation at all), endometriosis and so on (anything that could mimic the symptoms). I was put on multiple medications for overactive bladder, as well as antibiotics and nothing worked. I was doing pelvic floor therapy and getting dry needling done for the pelvis for 6 months which only gave temporary relief. I am also a nurse who works with a bunch of urologists and they were all stumped on what else I could try since I have gotten every scan and test done already. I was in so much pain I did not want to leave my house. I was struggling so much at work when I had to go in. It even effected my relationship with my husband because I was always in too much pain to have sex. This lasted for about 3 years until one of my doctors sent me to Dr. Manish Gopal. He told me I had multiple things going on at once and that is why I was not getting relief (since I was only being treated for one thing at a time). He told me I had a combination of urethral syndrome, overactive bladder, pelvic floor dysfunction and a mild form of pudendal neuralgia. He put me on estradiol cream, diazepam suppositories and myrbetriq. He also suggested the MonaLisa Touch laser treatment. The procedure is expensive and is not covered by insurance but I had tried everything else and was struggling for 3 years. I decided to try the procedure and when I tell you there was a difference within a week, I am not kidding!!! There are 3 initial procedures 6 weeks apart and they only take 2 minutes each in the office. After the first time I was 85% better, after the 2nd time I was 95% better and I just got my third one done last week. Dr. Gopal is very intelligent and answered all my questions throughout the process. His staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. The drive for me to his Somerset office is two hours, but it is totally worth it. Now I have my life back! I can go out with my friends instead of curling up in a ball in pain at home and I am having sex again without pain afterwards! I will forever be grateful to Dr. Gopal and his amazing staff.

I was a patient of Dr Gopal and required several visits due to the condition he was treating me for. He kept suggesting a costly treatment that my insurance would not cover. I did not participate. Instead he prescribed medications that had horrible side effects. Once again he pushed his treatment I could not afford at the time. Each visit was rushed. At one point he even said to his nurse in front of me that he is behind and has many patients waiting and told me the same when I asked questions. That was my last visit. I did not continue. No patient should be treated with such disregard. On a side note, his receptionist Sue was so wonderful. She was the reason I came back after my first two visits.
